Q. How do you describe your teaching style?

“My style of teaching explores different genres, vocabulary, and sonic palettes, while being regimented in technical and musical concepts -through the use of song studies, rudiments, repertoire and videos.”

Romanian-born and Toronto-raised, Tudor’s first introduction to music was

watching the Samba Squad and Latin-jazz groups play on St. Clair avenue in the summertime. His first steps were Piano Lessons at age 8. 3 years later, his interest in textures and timbres brought him to Drums and Percussion at age 11. From here, he began studying privately with Mark French and cultivated an interest in jazz, classical, rock, pop, Latin music and Gamelan. Tudor has been performing professionally since the age of 14 and developed his skills in a variety of musical settings in high school -including the orchestra, concert and stage bands, as well as in the local rock and indie

scene. He has performed at acclaimed Kiwanis Music Festival, TUJazz Fest, countless venues in and around Ontario/Quebec and continues to record many projects as drummer, composer and producer. His composition was featured in an ad for the non-profit organization, Asclepius Snakebite Foundation. With over 10 years of studio/live experience, Tudor possesses first-hand knowledge and expertise which are vital to the demands of a modern musician. After completing the RCM Advanced Rudiments exam

and Jazz Performance Certificate with Honours at Humber College, he is now completing his Bachelor of Music at Humber.

Tudor is confident playing a variety of styles of music and has performed with orchestras, rock/fusion bands, jazz combos, Gospel choirs, hip hop groups, and Brazilian-jazz & Batucada ensembles. Keeping an open mind has been an asset in problem-solving and success. Drawing on 3 years of accredited teaching experience, Tudor encourages his students to be curious and think positively about their obstacles while developing their own unique musical voice.
