About Us
Since 2014, High Park Music has expanded from a home-based studio to a school now bustling with many students and teachers.
The owners and operators, Lori Oussoren and Michael Savona, were both trained in Toronto and abroad, and now live in the High Park neighbourhood with their three young children.
We believe that music lessons have a multitude of benefits for individuals of all ages.
We believe that early music lessons can enhance academic performance, confidence, and self-motivation. They can also aid in early reading development and prevent memory decline in older adults.
We believe that music lessons teach children valuable skills such as self-discipline, perseverance, independent problem-solving, and self-motivation.
We believe that learning an instrument is a long-term investment, providing a lifetime of creative expression.
Our Beliefs
We Love Our Community!
We consider ourselves to be very lucky to be a part of such a wonderful and vibrant community and like to give back where we can.
Partnering with our wonderful local schools, charities and associations, we have had the joy in volunteering teaching at Indian Road Crescent PS, providing co-op placements for the Etobicoke School of the Arts, recitals in support of the Food Bank, and providing Christmas music for "Santa in the Junction".
Every year we look forward to getting involved in annual Fun Fairs at Keele PS, Indian Road Crescent PS, Annette St. PS, St. Cecilia Catholic School, Perth Avenue Jr. School, Runnymede PS, High Park Alternative School, and King George Junior PS.
We’re looking forward to continuing to serve our friends and community!
